I have been painting on canvas since 1986, my easels sharing the studio space with my stained glass and mosaic work. I had the great pleasure and honor to have studied drawing at the Central School of Art in London, England while working in the stained glass studio of Patrick Reyntiens in the late 1970's when we were fabricating a huge window for the Chapel in the Robinson College, Cambridge University. There I met the designer, John Piper, who was a wonderful art painter and a prolific designer of stained glass and tapestry. Other influences on my work are too numerous to completely list, but include my teacher at the AVA Center in Lebanon, NH, Clifford West, as well as bits and pieces of Picasso, Braque, Diego Rivera, several of the East European painters of the early 1900's and etc, etc, etc. You can visit my Pinterest site here for what interests me. I am painting on a near-daily basis, so please keep looking in for new work.
